Both E-Z Vac® requires virtually no maintenance. There are no wheels or gears to jam or wear out, no diaphrams to replace, no bags or compartments to empty. So you and your family can spend more time enjoying your pool. Pool Requirements E-Z Vac pool cleaner is recommended for use in pools that a cove* height of at least 6 inches. Pool coves less than 6 inches may inhibit the cleaner's operation. The pool "cove" is the embarkment between the pool wall and floor. It is generally constructed with either a banked or radius shape as shown below. E-Z Vac pool cleaner is not recommended for use in pools with no cove (with a 90 degree floor-to-wall angle). The absence of a cove may affect the cleaner's operation by inhibiting it's random-pattern coverage. Preparation of Pool Before assembling and installing your E-Z Vac, your pool should be clean and algae-free so as not to inhibit the cleaner's traction. If neccessary, make the following preparation before proceeding: - Chemically balance the pool water, PH = 7.2 - 7.6; Total Alkalinity = 125 - 150 ppm; Calcium Hardness = 200 - 275 ppm concrete and 175 - 225 ppm for vinyl pools; Free Chlorine 1- 3 ppm; - Brush your pool and let the debris settle to the bottom of the pool - Hand vacuum the pool thoroughly using a vacuum hose nd vacuum head - Clean filter and pump strainer basket       E-Z Vac Pool Cleaner Components Check List     1 E-Z Vac Cleaner Head 2 Weighted Bumper Strap 3 Automatic Regulator Valve 4 Valve Cone 5 Eyeball Diverter & Outer Ring 6 Hose Weight 7 Aboveground Seal 8 Hose - 32 ft. total lenght (not shown)
