Q - How do I select a Pro Logic control and related accessories?

Use the chart below to select the Pro Logic Pool/Spa control system you need and related optional features such as salt water system, wireless and wired remotes, pH and chlorine automation. Start by selecting you base Pro Logic control system then decide on salt system, remotes and pool chemistry automation.

FIRST SELECT THE BASE PRO LOGIC CONTROL

The Base Pro Logic system comes with the features listed below, select the appropriate base control:

SALT WATER OPTION: Do you want salt water chlorine system?
What is salt water system? Salt water system automatically generates chlorine form ordinary salt that you put in your pool, no more buying and handling chlorine!. Select the appropriate cell size, using the approximate gallons of water you have in your pool (15,000 gals., 25,000 gallons, 40,000 gals.)

POOL AND SPA COMBINATION: Do you want to control both pool and spa?
What is a valve actuator? A Valve actuator is an electric motor that is used to operate a diverter valves remotely so you can select water flow to go to pool or spa example: 2-way and 3-way valves. If you have a pool and spa combination you'll need two additional valve actuators.

WIRELESS OPTION: Do you want wireless remotes?
Wireless remote controls and panels allow the homeowner to control and monitor the pool equipment from the comfort of the home (500 ft direct or 200 ft. through wall barriers). The AQL2-POD is the most common option it is a handheld portable remote control with LCD screen, waterproof and works well in all environments.

WIRED REMOTES OPTION: Do you need wired remotes?
Wired remotes allow you to control pool and equipment from inside the house, however you do need to run cable all the way to the pool control box (Pro Logic control)

Model	Application
PL-P-4	Pro Logic P4: Entry level model system that can be used on a pool only system or on a pool/spa combination that share a single filter pump and filter. Wired in-house remotes and a wireless spa side remote can be used with this system.

PL-PS-4 PL-PS-8 PL-PS8-V PL-PS-16 PL-PS-16-V	Pro Logic PS4, Pro Logic PS8, and Pro Logic PS16: These models are used on pool/spa combination to operate systems that share a single pump and filter or they can operate dual set of equipment. Can control up to 2 conventional heaters (gas or heat pump) plus solar. All wired and wireless remote display/keypads can be used with these system.

Every Aqua Logic system includes a main control unit with a 100 amps subpanel and built-in display/keypad for programming directly from the equipment pad. Pool service personnel do not need access to the keypad located inside the house. Refer to the Aqua Logic Features table below to determine which unit has the right combination of high voltage auxiliary relays, heater controls, and valve controls for your pool design.
